Navajo Rug 62” x 38” Hand Woven Spirit Line

This is a beautiful Navajo hand woven wool rug.  It measures 62 by 38 inches.  There are lots of rich colors here; brown, red, tan, blue, green and orange.  This rug is in great shape with just one small spot of fraying on one side, one small hole and a few tiny holes  - possibly moths?  There are a few dirt smudges, and should probably be cleaned.  The ends are hemmed in green wool and the sides are whip-stitched in orange.  The four corners each have a bit of orange and green fringe. There is a spirit line(pictured) and from my research it was customary for the weaver to slightly change the design - you can see that in the second picture - the very bottom is outlined in dark brown not yellow.  There are lazy lines throughout.  The background is a light tan, first picture is most true to color - some of the other pictures look lighter.  Very tight weave, and very well made.  Sturdy and durable.  You will love it!
